Effective Date: May 22, 2026 · Titan.Care, Chicago, IL

1. Introduction

Titan.Care ("we," "us," or "our") operates Titan.Care (the "Service"), a Care Operating System that helps individuals and family caregivers track medications, appointments, health records, and care activities for every person they care for.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service, including information obtained through integrations with Epic MyChart and other healthcare systems. By using Titan.Care, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. On mobile, your device platform (iOS or Android) is recorded to route device-specific features appropriately.

2.2 Health Information You Enter

You may enter health-related information for yourself and your family members, including medications, dosage schedules, appointments, immunizations, allergies, and general health notes. This information is stored securely in our database.

2.3 Health Information from Epic MyChart

If you choose to connect your Epic MyChart account, we retrieve the following data from your healthcare provider's electronic health record (EHR) system:
  • Scheduled and past appointments
  • Medication lists and prescriptions
  • Medication dispense records
  • Immunization records
  • Patient demographics (name, date of birth)

We only access the specific data types you authorize during the MyChart connection flow. We do not access your full medical record, billing information, or clinical notes without explicit authorization.

2.4 Health Data from Apple Health (iOS)

If you use the Titan.Care iOS app and grant permission, we read the following data types from Apple Health on your device:
  • Heart rate, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability (HRV)
  • Blood oxygen (SpO₂), blood pressure, blood glucose
  • Body weight and body temperature
  • Steps, distance, flights climbed, active energy, VO2 max
  • Sleep sessions (duration, bedtime, wake time)
  • Respiratory rate

Apple Health data is read directly from your device and transmitted securely to Titan.Care. We do not write data back to Apple Health. You can revoke this access at any time from iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Titan.Care.

2.5 Health Data from Android Health Connect

If you use the Titan.Care Android app and grant permission, we read the following data types from Android Health Connect:
  • Heart rate, resting heart rate
  • Blood oxygen (SpO₂), blood pressure, blood glucose
  • Body weight and body temperature
  • Steps, distance, floors climbed, active calories, total calories, VO2 max
  • Sleep sessions, respiratory rate
  • Exercise sessions

Health Connect permissions are granted through the Android Health Connect app. You can revoke access at any time through Health Connect → App permissions → Titan.Care.

2.6 Health Data from Connected Devices and Services

If you choose to connect third-party health devices or services, we receive data through secure authorized connections:
  • Oura Ring: Sleep stages, HRV, readiness score, body temperature, respiratory rate, and activity
  • Withings: Blood pressure, body weight, SpO₂, and heart rate from Withings devices
  • Dexcom CGM: Continuous glucose readings (every 5 minutes) from Dexcom continuous glucose monitors
  • FreeStyle Libre: Continuous glucose readings from Abbott FreeStyle Libre sensors

You authorize each integration separately. You can disconnect any third-party device connection at any time from the Wearables & Devices page in the app. Disconnecting removes our secure access credentials immediately. Previously synced data remains in yourTitan.Care account until you delete it.

2.7 Usage and Technical Data

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, including your device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, pages visited, and session timestamps. This data is used to maintain service performance and security.

3.1 AI-Powered Health Maintenance Alerts

Titan.Care uses an AI-powered clinical decision support system to analyze your health data and generate personalized health maintenance alerts. This system:

  • Analyzes your vitals, medication adherence, lab results, symptoms, immunization status, and connected clinical documents
  • Generates alerts grounded in published clinical guidelines (ADA, ACC/AHA, USPSTF, CDC)
  • Runs on HIPAA-covered cloud infrastructure under a signed Business Associate Agreement
  • Does not store your health data on any external AI service beyond the duration of a single request
  • Produces informational alerts only — not diagnoses, prescriptions, or clinical recommendations. Always consult a licensed clinician for medical decisions.

You can dismiss or disable health maintenance alerts at any time from your notification settings.

4. HIPAA Compliance

Titan.Care is designed with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) principles in mind. As a personal health management tool operating under individual user authorization:

  • All health data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • Secure credentials used to access your Epic MyChart data are encrypted before being stored in our database and are never stored in plain text.
  • Access to your health records is governed by the authorization you grant during the Epic MyChart connection flow. You can revoke this access at any time from within the app or directly through your MyChart account.
  • We do not share your protected health information (PHI) with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service (e.g., our database host) or as required by law.
